Welcome to our school.
At the heart of Streatham’s community for over two hundred years, St Leonard’s Church of England Primary School is a two form entry school within the Southwark Diocesan Board of Education Multi-Academy Trust. Our Christian foundation underpins our aim to nurture and inspire all of our children in order to prepare them for an exciting and successful future in an ever-changing world. As such, we are committed to welcoming and engaging with children and adults from different backgrounds and traditions.
We seek to be a community which achieves excellence and lives each day by the fruit of the spirit as explained in in the Bible: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." - Galatians 5: 22-23
Our Church school inspection report from January 2024 notes that: St Leonard’s brims with the ‘fruit of the Spirit’, because leaders ensure that the Christian vision is lived out well. Recognition of each pupil as an individual valued by God is core to the vision. This builds a love of each other and a love of learning. Adults provide excellent role models of cooperation, showing pupils how people can work well together. The curriculum is enjoyable, relevant and rigorous. It aims to prepare pupils to be globally competent, socially conscious, and motivated to contribute positively to the world.
