PE and Sport
Physical education and sport are a vital and very enjoyable part of school life. Each class has two PE lessons per week, one of which is delivered by coaches from Premier Sports, who also run the after school Multi Sports Club for years 2-4. Years 4 and 5 have weekly swimming lessons throughout the year (year 6 take year 5's slot after their SATs).

Representative teams have competed in competitions with schools from across Lambeth as well as the local schools in our cluster in netball, cricket and even Aussie Rules football. Our playground is equipped with basketball and netball courts, a trim trail and a range of equipment such as skipping ropes for use at playtimes.
The Tooting Bec Athletic ground, a short walk away is the usual venue for our annual sports day.
St Leonard's has played in the Lambeth and Southwark primary schools football league for the past six seasons. Boys and girls from years 5 and 6 represent the school and, despite the school's small size, have managed to win promotion in the season 2010-11.
We have a proud record of sporting behaviour, having won a Fair Play trophy (judged by referees for the behaviour of players, coiachea and supporters over the season) in each of the last three seasons.
